This policy explains what happens to information in connection with www.istmoenergy.com. The short version: this website is a static brochure. It has no accounts, no forms, no newsletter and no shopping cart. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and does not track you. If you want to reach us, you email or call us directly, and we only ever see what you choose to send.

Who we are

Istmo Energy LLC (“Istmo”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of any information described here.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the public website at www.istmoenergy.com and the email and telephone enquiries that reach us through it. It does not cover information you give us in a commercial negotiation, a contract, a site visit or a recruitment process, which is handled under the terms of those dealings.

Information we collect

Nothing is collected from you by the site itself

There is no contact form, no sign-up, no account and no payment on this site. We do not ask you to submit anything, and no page on this site sends your details to us.

What you send us directly

The contact details on this site are ordinary email and telephone links. If you use them, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, your email address or phone number, your company, and the content of your message. We use it to answer you and to carry on any business relationship that follows. Nothing more.

Technical records kept by our hosting provider

Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs: the requesting IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page and the browser user-agent string. These records exist so the site can be operated securely and reliably — to diagnose faults, mitigate abuse and understand load. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics package, no tracking pixels, no advertising or remarketing tags, no social media trackers and no cross-site identifiers. It stores nothing in your browser’s local storage. Because we do not track visitors, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off — the answer is already no.

Third-party resources the page loads

To render, the page fetches typefaces and two animation libraries from third-party networks. Any time your browser fetches a file from another domain, that domain necessarily receives your IP address and user-agent as part of the request. We do not send them anything about you, and they are not engaged by us to track visitors. The services are:

Links to other sites

The News section links out to coverage published by third parties, such as DatacenterDynamics. Once you follow a link off this site, you are on someone else’s property and their privacy practices apply, not ours.

How we use information

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and in keeping the site secure, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose information only to the service providers who host and deliver the site, on their standard terms; to our professional advisers where they need it; and where the law requires it or it is necessary to protect our rights, safety or property.

Where information is held

Istmo Energy LLC is headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, and this website is served from the United States. We also keep offices in the Permian Basin and in Mexico, so a message you send us may be read by representatives at those offices in the course of answering you. If you contact us from outside the United States, your message will be received and stored in the US.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for as long as the enquiry or the business relationship is live, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, tax and record-keeping purposes. Hosting logs are kept for the limited period our provider retains them, typically a matter of weeks or months.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to the correspondence we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and email in particular is not a confidential channel — please do not send sensitive information by email.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have rights in respect of personal information relating to you. Where applicable, these may include the right to request access to that information, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The availability and scope of any such rights are determined by the laws applicable to Istmo Energy LLC and to you.

We may ask you to verify your identity before responding, and we may decline a request where an exemption or exception applies. Requests are handled in accordance with, and within any timeframe prescribed by, applicable law.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for instance if we add a contact form or analytics — we will revise this page and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
